Responsibilities

• Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety at all times
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, creativity, and social skills
• Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment
• Assist with homework help, tutoring, or educational projects to support academic growth
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including first aid procedures when necessary
• Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive programs that cater to children with special education needs or behavioral challenges

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
• Strong classroom management skills coupled with patience and empathy
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or child behavior management are a plus
• Ability to engage children through creative activities such as theater, sports coaching, or arts and crafts
• Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth in a safe environment
