Join our vibrant after school program team as an After School Program Staff member! Responsibilities

• Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Implement engaging activities that promote social skills, creativity, and physical activity, including arts and crafts, sports coaching, theater, and educational games
• Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment
• Assist with homework help and tutoring sessions to support academic growth
• Coordinate with parents, teachers, and other staff to communicate children's progress and address any concerns
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity areas and supplies
• Provide basic first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols diligently

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle behavioral challenges effectively
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
• Experience with special education or working with children with diverse needs is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a supportive environment for children of various ages
• Passion for working with youth and promoting positive growth through engaging activities
