After School Robotics Teacher (1st-5th grade)

As a Robotics Instructor, you will teach hands-on projects to 1st-5th grade students after school. We use a variety of different Robots like: Sphero, Ozobots, Microbits, and Lego Robotics.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Experience teaching K-5th grade students
• Must commit to the whole session (7-9 week programs)
• Must have Reliable Transportation
• Must be able to pick up, train on, and transport Robotics Equipment and computers.
• Must be punctual, reliable, enthusiastic, responsible, and flexible
• Dedicated to children with diverse backgrounds and academic levels

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently lead a group of 12 students from K-5th grade
• Lead FUN hands-on after-school classes on topics related to Science/Technology/Engineering/Art/Math
• Attend Teacher Training (twice a month) where you will be trained on STAR curriculum. All supplies are provided by STAR and are prepared by Teachers.
• Instructors are expected to arrive on time and provide an educational, safe and enjoyable class experience for students.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 per hour
