Aftercare Teacher

The Waldorf School of Bend is seeking a caring and dependable Aftercare Teacher to support students in our Afterschool program. This position is ideal for a college student or individual seeking meaningful experience working with children of mixed ages in a nurturing, creative environment.

The role offers opportunities for both indoor and outdoor play, arts and crafts, and guiding a calm, intentional transition at the end of the school day. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is comfortable being outdoors in all seasons, and brings reliability, warmth, and enthusiasm for learning and growth.

Must have demonstrated ability working with children from 3-12 years old, with the capacity to redirect play and support with conflict resolution. The teacher will also support overall safety and well being as a high standard.

Aftercare program hours are from 3:30pm-5pm each day except for Wednesdays when the hours are from 1pm-5pm. Minimal prep beforehand and minimal cleaning at the end of the teaching day is required.

The position requires meeting the qualifications for Early Learning Division as a teacher for both the early childhood and grades aged students. Must have food handlers, CPR and First Aid certified and enrolled in the Oregon Central Background registry.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 12 per week
