Afternoon nanny needed for Toddler and Newborn

A warm and busy professional family in Windermere, FL, is seeking a nurturing, engaging, and reliable nanny to support their afternoon and evening routine. The family has a joyful 2-year-old boy and is expecting a new baby later this year.

The schedule will be Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. During the afternoon hours, the nanny will take the lead in engaging their toddler through enriching activities and helping to guide a structured, supportive routine. In the evenings, when both parents are home, the nanny will transition into a supportive role - assisting with light household tasks such as tidying common areas and children’s spaces, helping with children’s laundry and organization, dishes, etc., and ensuring the home remains calm and well-prepared for the next day, while parents spend quality time with their son.

As the family welcomes their new baby, the role will naturally shift to provide additional hands-on support. The nanny will primarily assist with caring for the toddler in the evenings- helping with bath time, bedtime, and maintaining a consistent routine - while parents attend to the newborn. During times when one parent is away, the nanny will play a key role in supporting the evening routine for both children, ensuring a well-managed transition through bath and bedtime.

The right candidate should be comfortable following an established daily schedule for naps, meals, and routines. Responsibilities will include supporting potty training, encouraging positive mealtime habits, engaging in educational and creative play, and spending time outdoors when appropriate. Screen time is minimal and limited to occasional age-appropriate programming (no more than one hour per day).

The family has a dog, so candidates must be pet-friendly and comfortable assisting as needed. Candidates should be well-versed in both toddler and infant care and have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a private home. The family is currently interviewing and is happy to begin as soon as they find the right fit, with the latest start date being June 8th.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
