Afterschool Nanny

(La Jolla, San Diego) | $32–$35/hr

A private, high-profile family based in La Jolla is seeking a polished, experienced part-time

nanny to support care for their three young daughters, ages 5, 4, and 2. The family is looking for

a highly reliable, discreet, and proactive professional who can seamlessly step into the

afternoon routine and provide calm, structured support in a dynamic household.

This is an excellent opportunity for a career nanny who is confident managing multiple children,

anticipates needs without direction, and brings a composed, solutions-oriented approach to

daily care.

Schedule:

Approximately 25 hours per week

4 days M-F + 1 weekend ideal 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Flexibility required for extended hours during school closures, travel, or when children are home

sick

Compensation:

$32–$35 per hour, commensurate with experience

About the Children:

• Three girls, ages 5, 4, and 2

• All children attend school during the day

• Bright, active, and accustomed to a structured, well-supported environment

Responsibilities:

• Seamless occasional management of school pick-ups and transportation to extracurriculars

• Preparing nutritious meals and thoughtfully packing snacks for the kids

• Overseeing the afternoon and early evening routine with a calm, structured approach

• Planning and facilitating engaging, developmentally appropriate activities

• Maintaining organization of children’s spaces, wardrobes, and daily items

• Proactively anticipating household and child-related needs

• Light child-related tidying to ensure an orderly environment

Driving:

• Family vehicle provided during working hours

• Must be highly comfortable driving children and navigating efficiently

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years of professional nanny experience in private homes

• Experience caring for multiple young children simultaneously

• Discreet, polished, and highly dependable• Proactive with strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs

• Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communicator with a calm, professional demeanor

• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain prior to start)

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
