The Agricultural Control Specialist is responsible for conducting comprehensive field inspections on agricultural and environmental establishments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and requirements. This role involves executing scheduled and unscheduled visits and participating in inspection campaigns to assess conformity with established guidelines. The specialist will be tasked with completing inspections as specified in the operational work model and submitting periodic reports through the designated inspection platform. Moreover, the specialist must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the approved fines and violations regulations, maintain up-to-date information on agricultural establishments, and escalate issues to relevant units in cases of closure or seizure of non-compliant materials. Job Requirements:

  • A diploma or higher in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or related scientific fields.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc field inspections of agricultural and environmental facilities to ascertain compliance with regulations.
  • Complete scheduled inspections as per the plan communicated by the inspection platform or direct manager.
  • Submit detailed and accurate reports of inspections on a regular basis through the established system.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the fines and violations applicable to agricultural activities.
  • Apply operational procedures and work mechanisms outlined in the operational work model during inspections.
  • Update and maintain records of agricultural establishments based on insights gained from field visits.
  • Raise alerts to relevant units in instances of establishment closures or seizure of non-compliant products, in accordance with established protocols.
  • Actively participate in inspection campaigns as directed by the supervising body or management.
  • Perform various types of supervisory visits as assigned within the system, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to enhance the efficiency of the inspection process.
  • Stay informed on new agricultural practices, environmental regulations, and compliance measures.
  • Participate in training sessions or workshops to improve inspection methodologies and skill sets.
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements in compliance monitoring processes.
  • Document all inspection findings thoroughly and follow up on any necessary corrective actions.
