Agricultural Engineer

We are looking for a highly experienced landscape Engineer who will be responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and supervision of various landscape projects from Planning to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of local flora, climatic conditions, irrigation systems, sustainable practices, and Abu Dhabi municipality regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, Designers, contractors, and internal teams to oversee the successful execution of projects, balancing timely completion with fiscal responsibility and superior quality.

Key Responsibilities:

-Develop detailed landscape designs, master plans, and tender documents, including softscape, hardscape, irrigation, lighting, and water features.

-Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and schedules, conducting site analyses and integrating sustainable practices.

-Oversee all phases of landscape construction, ensuring adherence to design, quality, and safety standards.

-Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively; conduct site inspections, monitor progress, and resolve issues.

-Coordinate with sub-contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders for smooth project execution.

-Possess in-depth knowledge of irrigation systems (design, installation, maintenance) and proficiency in selecting suitable plant species for the UAE climate.

-Understand hardscape materials, construction techniques, and drainage solutions, along with Abu Dhabi municipality regulations and approval processes.

-Liaise with clients to understand needs, present concepts, and obtain approvals, while collaborating with architects and other consultants.

-Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff, working collaboratively with internal teams and contributing to process improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

-Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering.

-Minimum of 5 years of continuous and demonstrable experience in landscape design, construction and maintenance in the UAE, preferably within Abu Dhabi.

-Proven track record of successfully delivering a diverse range of landscape projects including snagging and de-snagging, take over and handover.

-Excellent knowledge of native and adapted plant species suitable for the UAE climate.

-Expertise in irrigation system design, hydraulics, and water management.

-Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) regulations and approval procedures.

-Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.

-Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

-Valid UAE driving license is required.

-English proficiency.
