Agriculture Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project team to integrate agricultural and environmental considerations into the design of the steel structure building.
  • Evaluate and propose agricultural systems that align with the project's goals and environmental sustainability.
  • Conduct comprehensive soil analysis to determine its suitability for farming and landscaping around the building.
  • Implement soil management strategies for optimum land use and fertility enhancement.
  • Design and implement efficient irrigation systems to support landscaping and agricultural components of the project.
  • Propose water conservation strategies and water management techniques suitable for the project's landscape.
  • Identify and select plants, trees, and greenery that align with the project's aesthetic and environmental objectives.
  • Advise on environmentally friendly practices and technologies to support the project's sustainability goals.
  • Develop strategies for ecological preservation and biodiversity enhancement within the project scope.
  • Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and landscape designers to integrate agricultural components seamlessly into the overall project design.
  • Coordinate with construction supervision teams to ensure the successful implementation of agricultural elements during the construction phase.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ experience in agricultural engineering, preferably in construction supervision projects.
  • Strong knowledge of soil science, water management, and irrigation systems.
  • Familiarity with environmental sustainability practices in agriculture.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Certification or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
