Responsibilities:
- Analyze all received fertilizers at farm & accept/reject according to standard
- Risk Assessment for (physical & Biological contamination) before planting
- Conduct soil sectors for new farms & collect all soil & Water samples for chemical testing
- Identify weeds type to select the proper herbicide
- Follow up on soil preparation activities to ensure full yield and quality
- Inspect seed at farm gate to allocate based on planting plan
- Confirm all activity tasks on tablet (Smart Agro app)
- Adjust planting depth and rate based on planting plan
- Identify nutrient deficiency on plant if any and determine the corrective action
- Monitor all agronomy operations in the field to ensure consumption of direct materials is according to plan and global standard
- Record all consumed direct materials on VISTEX
- Report all deviation for direct materials application at field
- Identify diseases in field (fungal, bacterial, virus, insects) to select the proper chemical based on infection % and type
- Identify virus type at seed field to initiate rouging process at the correct age and determine the generation
- Perform preharvest test to identify yield and quality
- Collect YSI and MRL samples before harvest
- Perform harvest loss trials during harvest operation and report deviations
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or science
- MS Office – SAP- VISTEX
- Good agronomy knowledge for plant disease (fungal, bacterial, virus, insects)
- Basic knowledge of Plant Nutrition & chemical active ingredient types
- Good knowledge in Agro equipment field
- 3 years’ experience in the potato agronomy field
