AI Code Writer / AI Application Engineer

Location: Remote / Hybrid (UK & Pakistan teams)
Reports to: Head of Web / CTO

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled AI-driven Code Writer with hands-on experience using Lovable, Base44, Replit, and other AI coding tools to rapidly prototype, build, and deploy production-ready web applications. You will take business requirements, generate functional MVPs using AI-assisted workflows, and then convert them into complete, scalable websites that can be self-hosted on our infrastructure.

This role blends software engineering with AI tool automation, enabling fast delivery cycles for internal tools, client-facing apps, and commercial products.

Key Responsibilities

AI-Assisted Application Development

• Use Lovable, Base44, and Replit to generate application prototypes, workflows, and codebases.
• Convert AI-generated prototypes into full production-ready applications.
• Optimise, refactor, and structure code to meet industry best practices.

Full Website Conversion & Deployment

• Take AI-generated projects and build them into full websites (frontend + backend).
• Containerise applications where needed (Docker knowledge beneficial).
• Deploy and configure self-hosted environments (e.g., VPS, bare metal, cloud VM, Docker Compose).

System Architecture & Technical Planning

• Design efficient, secure, scalable architectures based on project needs.
• Implement APIs, integrations, databases (SQL/NoSQL), authentication flows, etc.
• Ensure code is clean, modular, maintainable, and well-documented.

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Use automated and manual tests to ensure code reliability.
• Validate AI-generated code for security issues, logic flaws, and scalability.

Collaboration & Workflow Management

• Work with founders, product managers, and operational teams to understand requirements.
• Document feature specifications, workflows, and deployment instructions.
• Handover completed projects so internal teams can manage long-term.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Proven experience generating applications using:
• Lovable
• Base44
• Replit
• Strong coding fundamentals in at least two of the following:
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• Python
• Node.js
• React / Next.js
• Flask / Django
• Experience deploying self-hosted applications:
• Linux servers
• Nginx
• Docker
• Git CI/CD
• Understanding of databases:
• PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or SQLite
• Experience optimising AI-generated code for security, structure, and performance.

AI & Automation Skills

• Ability to use AI tools to speed up application creation.
• Able to debug and refine auto-generated code.
• Familiarity with LLM-based development workflows and prompt engineering.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to translate business ideas into working technical solutions.
• Excellent documentation and communication.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with custom LLM agents or API integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
• Knowledge of microservices or modular backend design.
• Experience hosting web apps on:
• DigitalOcean
• AWS
• Azure
• Render
• Oracle Cloud
• UI/UX familiarity for polishing frontend interfaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs150,000.00 per month

Application Question(s):

• Have you deployed full stack web applications on Linux servers (or equivalent), using containerization (Docker) and server configuration (web server, database) in a self‑hosted or cloud VM environment?
• Are you familiar with database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, SQLite or similar) and have used them in real projects?
• Can you optimally refactor or improve code generated by AI tools — ensuring security, maintainability, modularity and performance?
• Are you able to provide prior work examples or code samples (on GitHub, GitLab or similar) that demonstrate your ability to deliver end‑to‑end applications (not just prototypes)?

Experience:

• Lovable, Base44, or Replit: 3 years (Required)
• JavaScript, Python, Node.js, React/Next.js, Flask/Django: 3 years (Required)
