AI Content Creator - Full Time

Position Summary
The Part-Time AI Video Content Creator will be responsible for producing innovative, AI-powered video content to support academic and administrative communication across the university. This role focuses on enhancing internal communication for faculty, staff, and students through engaging and accessible video formats. The position requires strong technical skills in AI video tools, video editing, and scripting, along with the ability to adapt content to academic and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, script, and produce internal communication videos using AI platforms (e.g., Synthesia, Pictory, etc.).
• Edit and enhance AI-generated videos to ensure clarity, accessibility, and alignment with academic standards.
• Create supporting visuals (thumbnails, layouts, and simple graphics) using Canva and related design tools.
• Research, test, and integrate new AI tools to improve and diversify internal content creation.
• Collaborate with departments to translate academic, administrative, and training materials into engaging video formats.
• Support faculty and staff by demonstrating how AI can simplify and improve internal communications.
• Ensure consistency with the university’s communication style and accessibility requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Education Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in video production, editing, and digital storytelling.
• Technical proficiency with AI video platforms (e.g., Synthesia, Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere/After Effects a plus).
• Familiarity with accessibility guidelines for educational content.
• Strong writing and scripting skills, with the ability to explain complex information simply.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in educational or academic communication.
• Knowledge of instructional or training video production.
• Ability to train or guide faculty/staff in applying AI video tools to their communication needs.
• Synthesia platform knowledge.
• Strong Adobe Suite experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
