Marketopia is seeking a Mid-Level AI Engineer to design, build, deploy, and optimize AI-powered solutions for both our internal teams and our clients. This role is ideal for someone who has already built meaningful real-world AI workflows and custom agents and is ready to take ownership of more complex use cases across marketing, sales, operations, and customer experience.
The right candidate has hands-on experience creating custom AI agents, automations, and workflow solutions in a marketing or revenue-focused environment. They should be comfortable working with platforms such as GoHighLevel, ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot, and they should know how to translate business needs into reliable, scalable AI solutions.
This is an in-office role for someone who wants to collaborate closely with leadership, support internal departments, and help clients adopt AI in ways that produce measurable business value.
Design, build, and maintain custom AI agents, assistants, and workflow automations for internal and client-facing use cases

Work directly with teams across marketing, sales, account management, operations, and leadership to identify high-value AI opportunities
Build practical solutions using ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, GoHighLevel, and related tools, platforms, APIs, and automations
Improve prompt design, agent logic, structured outputs, testing processes, and workflow reliability
Help architect repeatable AI service offerings that can be used internally and delivered to clients
Support client discovery, implementation, customization, training, and optimization related to AI solutions
Troubleshoot issues, refine results, and continuously improve adoption and performance
Document workflows, SOPs, use cases, and best practices for internal teams and client handoff
Stay current on emerging AI tools, agent frameworks, automation platforms, and practical use cases relevant to marketing and sales
3–5 years of relevant experience in AI, automation, marketing technology, solutions engineering, or related technical roles
Proven experience building custom AI agents, AI-powered workflows, or automation systems used in real business environments
Experience with ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar LLM-based tools
Experience with GoHighLevel or similar CRM / marketing automation ecosystems
Strong understanding of how AI can be applied across marketing, lead generation, sales operations, client service, and internal productivity
Ability to move from business requirement to working solution with limited oversight
Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong project management, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative, in-office environment
Experience in a marketing agency, B2B demand generation company, MSP/vendor ecosystem, or similar client-service environment
Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, prompt engineering, retrieval workflows, agent orchestration, and low-code/no-code automation tools
Light scripting or development experience for integrations and workflow customization
Experience delivering solutions to both internal departments and external clients
Understanding of CRM systems, lead funnels, campaign workflows, and revenue operations
Experience evaluating AI output quality, reliability, governance, and business impact
AI solutions are deployed that materially improve efficiency, output quality, speed, and consistency
Internal teams adopt AI tools and workflows successfully in their daily work
Client-facing AI solutions are useful, reliable, and differentiated in the market
New service offerings and automations are implemented in a scalable, repeatable way
AI initiatives are documented, measurable, and aligned with business goals
The ideal candidate is a builder and operator who enjoys solving real business problems with AI. They are beyond the entry level stage and can independently design and implement useful agentic workflows, but they are still hands-on and execution-oriented rather than purely strategic. They understand marketing and revenue operations well enough to build solutions that work in the real world, not just in demos.
