As an AI Engineer, you will design, build, deploy, and support intelligent systems that streamline workflows, improve decision-making, and unlock productivity across departments including IT, operations, supply chain, finance, customer service, HR, and marketing.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys building practical AI solutions that solve real business problems. The ideal candidate has experience developing AI-powered applications, integrating enterprise systems, automating workflows, and working closely with business stakeholders to turn ideas into scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy AI-driven applications, assistants, and automation workflows for business use cases across the organization
- Develop and maintain integrations between internal and third-party systems to support AI and automation initiatives
- Build intelligent workflows using automation platforms, APIs, and custom scripting
- Leverage large language models and related AI tools to improve productivity, communication, reporting, search, and operational decision-making
- Partner with business leaders to identify high-value opportunities for AI implementation and process automation
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with strong usability and measurable impact
- Develop data pipelines and retrieval workflows to support AI applications, including structured and unstructured data sources
- Implement prompt engineering, evaluation, testing, and monitoring practices to improve output quality and reliability
- Support model deployment, observability, performance tuning, and ongoing maintenance of production AI solutions
- Establish best practices around security, privacy, governance, and responsible AI usage
- Create technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support adoption
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, operations, marketing, finance, HR, and other teams to deliver scalable solutions
- Stay current on emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and enterprise use cases, and recommend practical improvements
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, machine learning engineering, or a related technical role
- Hands-on experience building AI-enabled solutions using tools such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or similar platforms
- Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, Make, or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting/programming languages
- Experience working with APIs, web services, JSON, and system integrations
- Understanding of data modeling, SQL, ETL/data pipelines, and working with enterprise data sources
- Experience developing, testing, and supporting production-grade applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, and knowledge-based AI systems
- Experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with MLOps, model evaluation, versioning, and monitoring practices
- Experience integrating business systems such as ERP, HRIS, CRM, ticketing, collaboration, or identity platforms
- Experience in a regulated, manufacturing, consumer products, or FDA-governed environment
- Experience building internal copilots, chat interfaces, agent workflows, or business automation tools
- Familiarity with data governance, access controls, and enterprise security standards
