AI Engineer (GCP)

We don't want someone who "has experience with GCP."

We want someone who remembers what broke last quarter and exactly how they fixed it.

TMC Middle East is hiring a Consultant AI Engineer (GCP) on behalf of a leading organization in Saudi Arabia

This is a production role. You will translate real, messy business problems into deployed ML solutions on Google Cloud. Not prototypes. Not decks. Actual systems that run, fail, get fixed, and scale.

What the role actually looks like day-to-day:

→ You get handed a vague problem from a business stakeholder. You figure out the ML formulation, the success metric, and the path to production — not just the model.

→ You work on Vertex AI. BigQuery for feature engineering. Python + your framework of choice.GCP end to end.

→ You ship. Then you monitor. Then you improve. No handing off to a "deployment team."

What we need to see — non-negotiable:

✦ You wrote production code on GCP in the last 12–18 months. Not a PoC. Not a lab. Production.

✦ You can name an algorithm you chose in the last year, the project it was for, and why that algorithm and not another one.

✦ You have a war story. Something broke. You tell us what broke, how you found it, and what you changed so it doesn't breakagain.

✦ You can whiteboard your last GCP ML architecture from memory. If you built it, you remember it.

✦ 5+ years in AI/ML engineering. 3+ years hands-on GCP. GCP Professional ML Engineer cert is a strong plus.

What we don't want

✗ CVs full of tools with no projects behind them

✗ "Experienced in Vertex AI" with nothing to show

✗ Anyone whose last real GCP workwas 2022
