AI IMAGING SPECIALIST
Location: Los Angeles, California 5x onsite
Job Type: Contract
Compensation Range: $40 - 50 per hour
We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Generative AI Image Specialist to join our creative production team. This role blends artistry, technology, and production expertise—ideal for a content creator who thrives at the intersection of traditional image craftsmanship and cutting-edge AI tools.
As a Generative AI Image Specialist, you will be responsible for generating and enhancing high-quality visual assets using AI-driven image creation platforms. Leveraging your on-set experience and strong understanding of product styling, composition, and layout, you will create original imagery that aligns seamlessly with our clients’ brand standards and visual identity. Unlike traditional workflows that rely on captured photography, this role uses AI as the foundation for image creation—requiring both creative vision and technical precision.
The ideal candidate is “prompt-to-production” ready: confident in managing the entire asset lifecycle from image intake request through final delivery. You bring a strong background in traditional photo retouching, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the resilience to pivot quickly when solving creative or technical challenges.

Responsibilities:
- Leverage our client's approved AI tools such as Gemini and Firefly to create new imagery that is on brand and authentic to the product.
- Utilized Photoshop and other traditional tools to enhance AI imagery to bring the final polish as needed. This includes compositing logos and labels when AI cannot deliver the last 1%.
- "Prompt to Production" workflow where the candidate can oversee all steps in image creation from prompting, tool integration, art directing/styling, and retouching.
- Transform creative brief to final; visual concepts with minimal creative oversight.
- Staying up to date on brand standards via marketing style guides and ensuring all imagery adheres to those standards.
- Juggling multiple projects with different deadlines simultaneously.
- Handling high volumes of imagery.
- Communicate with team members and vendors with clear feedback and prompt feedback to ensure the larger team can deliver to the quality and timelines required by the business. Act as team player

Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to perform under pressure with a steady, calm demeanor.
- Ability to work within deadlines, thinking creatively to increase productivity.
- Strong communication skills to resolve issues and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, team oriented, photo studio environment.
- Deep understanding and experience with Adobe Creative Suite software (for example, Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign, Acrobat Pro), including experience with non-destructive photo manipulation and retouching.
- Deep understanding of Gemini and Firefly platforms for generative image and video creation.
- Excellent photo-retouching skills necessary. Retouching skills include but are not limited to, clipping, masking, color correcting, adjustment layers, liquefying, compositing, using history states, creating, and using actions.
- A portfolio or website that demonstrates a proficient knowledge and understanding of generative AI image creation and retouching is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Marketing/creative agency experience, in-house experience.
- Experience in the Marketing, Retail or eCommerce industry.
- Enhanced AI skills such as Weavy and Comfy.
