You Are:

UST is seeking for a motivated and enthusiastic Intern to join our Data & AI team. The candidate will work on next-generation AI solutions involving Agentic AI systems, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Computer Vision, Data Science, and Python-based development.

The opportunity:

• Assist in developing AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Data Science, and Computer Vision solutions using Python-based technologies and frameworks.

• Support development and testing of autonomous AI agents, LLM workflows, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and multi-agent orchestration systems.

• Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets to generate actionable insights and support AI model development.

• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistical analysis, visualization, and feature engineering using Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.

• Build, train, validate, and optimize Machine Learning and Deep Learning models for predictive analytics, NLP, recommendation systems, and intelligent automation use cases.

• Develop Python scripts, APIs, automation workflows, and reusable modules for AI applications, data processing, and enterprise integrations.

What you need:

• Basic understanding of Python programming.

• Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI fundamentals.

• Familiarity with Data Science concepts and visualization techniques.

• Understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models.

• Exposure to TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or OpenCV is preferred.

• Knowledge of SQL and data handling concepts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

• Desired Skills:

• Strong foundation in Python programming, Data Science, AI/ML, Generative AI, and basic Computer Vision concepts.

• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and tools such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, APIs, and SQL/databases.

• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and learning abilities with an interest in emerging AI technologies and Agentic AI solutions.

• Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

• Handson in automation development for validation or QA roles

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote

Compensation Range: $56,000-$84,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
