2026 Summer Internship | AI Intern
School Year: Graduate Students
Dates of the Internship: June 1st – August 7th (10 weeks)
Format: Hybrid in Lincolnshire, Illinois
(Camping World’s hybrid work model allows employees to work in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with the option to work from home on Thursday and Friday).
About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and curious Summer Intern to join our team and focus on developing next-generation Agentic AI systems, including intelligent agents, automation workflows, and conversational chatbots. This role is ideal for a student passionate about artificial intelligence, prompt engineering, autonomous agents, and applying modern LLM tools to real business problems.
You will work closely with our AI and product teams to prototype agent workflows, test emerging AI frameworks, support integration efforts, and help operationalize AI capabilities across the organization.
Candidates must have the ability to work in our Chicago or Lincolnshire office on a hybrid basis (3 days in office, 2 days remote) for 10 weeks, beginning in June of 2026.
What You’ll Do:
Assist in designing, building, and testing Agentic AI workflows using LLMs (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
Develop and refine autonomous agents for business operations, data processing, and internal automation.
Help create and optimize chatbots for customer service, sales enablement, and internal knowledge tools.
Research and evaluate new frameworks (LangChain, AutoGPT-style agents, orchestration platforms).
Support prompt engineering, testing, and documentation of AI tools.
Work with engineering teams to help integrate AI agents into existing systems or APIs.
Analyze agent performance and help iterate to improve reliability, accuracy, and efficiency.
Contribute to internal AI knowledge bases, demos, and proof-of-concept projects.
What You’ll Need to Have for the Role:
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or a related field.
Familiarity with Python or JavaScript; ability to write clean, organized code.
Interest or experience with LLMs, prompting, RAG, or AI agent frameworks.
Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to experiment with new technologies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and curiosity about real-world AI applications.
