AI Software Engineer (Python/ML + Node.js/React)

About the Role

We’re building multiple AI products and will tackle them one by one. You’ll be our go-to engineer across the stack—owning features end-to-end from data to deployment. If you’re equally comfortable training models in Python and shipping production web apps with Node.js/React, we’d love to meet you.

Position Title: AI Software Engineer (Python/ML + Node.js/React)

Location: On-Site – Garden Town, Lahore

Type: Contractual – 6 months (3 working days a week)

Start: ASAP

Responsibilities:

● Build AI features: prototype and productionize models (LLMs/classical ML) in Python.

● Own services end-to-end: design APIs in Node.js, integrate ML services, and ship polished React UIs.

● Data & MLOps: create data pipelines, evaluate models, and set up reproducible training/inference.

● Ship iteratively: break big problems into milestones; deliver measurable progress weekly.

● Cloud & infra: deploy to AWS/GCP/Azure (or similar), containerize with Docker, manage CI/CD.

● Quality: write tests, monitor performance, and handle logs/alerts.

● Collaboration: work closely with the founder/PM; document decisions and maintain clean repos.

Tech You’ll Use:

● Core: Python (pydantic, FastAPI/Flask), scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow; JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js (Express/Fastify), React + modern tooling.

● AI/LLM: OpenAI/Anthropic or open-source LLMs, vector DBs (Pinecone/FAISS), embeddings/retrieval, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks.

● Data/MLOps: Pandas, NumPy, Airflow/Prefect, MLflow/W&B, Docker, GitHub Actions.

● Cloud/DB: AWS/GCP/Azure, PostgreSQL, Redis; basics of networking, auth, and security.

Requirements - Must-Haves:

● 3+ years building production software (or equivalent portfolio).

● Hands-on Python ML and full-stack JS (Node.js + React) experience.

● Proven ability to deliver end-to-end features—planning, building, testing, deploying.

● Comfortable working at least 6 hours per day with consistent availability.

● Strong Git practices, clean code, and documentation.

● Clear communication and ownership mindset.

Requirements - Nice-to-Haves:

● Experience with LLM apps (RAG, function calling, agents, fine-tuning/LoRA).

● UX sensibility (component libraries, responsive design).

● Basic DevOps/SRE (observability, cost/perf tuning).

● Start-up or freelance background delivering under tight timelines.
