AI Support Engineer

We are looking for an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to join a contract engagement in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will design and improve intelligent vision-based solutions that support detection and machine learning initiatives. The position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in TensorFlow, computer vision, and applied AI who can translate technical concepts into effective model development.

• Build, train, and refine AI models focused on computer vision and detection use cases.
• Develop and optimize machine learning pipelines using TensorFlow for reliable model performance.
• Work with image and vision datasets to create accurate recognition, classification, and detection solutions.
• Partner with technical stakeholders to understand project goals and convert them into practical AI approaches.
• Evaluate model outcomes, tune performance, and recommend improvements based on testing results.
• Document development methods, model behavior, and implementation considerations for team use.

• At least 2 years of experience in artificial intelligence or machine learning engineering.
• Practical expertise in computer vision applications and detection model development.
• Strong hands-on experience with TensorFlow in a production or project environment.
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, model training, and performance evaluation.
• Ability to work effectively in a contract role with changing priorities and project needs.
• Familiarity with modern AI tools and platforms, including experience working with Claude, is preferred.
