Summary

We are seeking a highly seasoned and visionary Director of Data Analytics with over 20 years of experience to lead our analytics, research, and Generative AI initiatives. The ideal candidate is an established leader with a deep foundation in statistics and quantitative research, and a proven track record of implementing large-scale, enterprise-level data strategies. You will be responsible for defining the future of our data ecosystem, integrating advanced Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) into our core business functions, and driving a culture of data-driven innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic leadership and vision: Set the long-term strategic direction for all data analytics, research, and Generative AI efforts, aligning them with overall business objectives and digital transformation goals.
• Generative AI and LLM implementation: Lead the evaluation, integration, and deployment of Generative AI and Large Language Models to create new business value, enhance decision-making, and automate complex processes.
• Advanced statistical research: Oversee a team of quantitative researchers and statisticians to conduct deep-level research, leveraging a strong background in statistical modeling, experimental design, and predictive analytics.
• Team building and mentorship: Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, data engineers, and analysts, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Executive communication: Act as a key advisor to C-level leadership and the board, translating complex analytical findings and AI capabilities into clear, actionable business strategies and compelling data stories.
• Data governance and ethics: Establish and enforce robust data governance policies, ensuring the ethical and responsible use of AI, data privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and data integrity across the organization.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with departments such as marketing, product, and engineering to embed a data-first mentality and drive the adoption of analytics and AI tools across the enterprise.
• Technology oversight: Guide the architectural design and management of the data infrastructure, including data warehouses, data lakes, and modern cloud-based platforms, to support scalable AI and analytics operations.
• Innovation and staying current: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in Generative AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to ensure the company remains at the forefront of data-driven innovation.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 20+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, data science, and quantitative research, with a minimum of 10 years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
• Extensive, hands-on experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models, including practical applications and strategic implementation.
• Deep expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and research methodologies.
• Proven success in building, leading, and mentoring large data and analytics teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and AI ethics frameworks.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and engage technical and non-technical audiences.

Proficiency in modern data analytics tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
