Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, the mission of Cardinal Ritter Senior Services is to be a recognized provider in giving person centered care through an integrated continuum of quality residential, healthcare, and supportive social services for senior adults throughout the Archdiocese of Saint Louis.
Functions as the housekeeper for Cardinal Ritter Senior Services. Daily cleaning of and supplying of resident rooms, nursing stations, lounges, spas, bathrooms, offices and other areas as assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with the facility’s objectives.
This position is offered aa Full-Time, Hourly, Weekends and Nights.
Overview and Responsibilities
- Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
- Damp-wipes clean all furniture.
- Vacuums carpets for cleaning and bacteria control.
- Cleans and polishes metal and porcelain fixtures in bathrooms.
- Dust mops and wet mops floors of rooms and offices.
- Spot cleans walls, windows and polishes metal surfaces.
- Replenishes room supplies.
- Cleans beds and performs checkout cleaning as assigned.
- Spot cleans carpets as assigned.
- Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or on request.
- Maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and have repairs made when needed.
- Observes and reports the need for repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures.
- In case of fire or other internal disaster or community disaster, performs duties as assigned.
- Completes supplied checklists daily for verification of completion of assigned duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
