Aide - Nursery

Job Summary

Incarnate Word is seeking caring, dependable, and faith-filled individuals to serve as Nursery Aides in the IW Nursery. The Nursery provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for the children of Incarnate Word employees, ages 8 weeks to 5 years. Nursery Aides are responsible for the daily care, supervision, and enrichment of children while supporting the mission and values of Incarnate Word.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate care for infants and young children ages 8 weeks to 5 years.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming nursery environment.
• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate enrichment activities, including arts and crafts, reading, music, storytelling, and supervised play.
• Encourage positive social, emotional, and developmental growth through nurturing interactions.
• Assist with daily routines, including feeding, diapering, toileting, rest time, and transitions between activities.
• Monitor children's well-being and respond appropriately to their needs.
• Follow all nursery policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, guardians, and fellow staff members.
• Support a faith-centered atmosphere that reflects the mission and values of Incarnate Word.

Job Requirements

• Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of Incarnate Word.
• Experience working with infants and young children preferred.
• Ability to engage children in creative, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Dependable, patient, and nurturing demeanor.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to lift and carry children and nursery equipment as needed.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.
• Ability to actively supervise children in both indoor and outdoor settings.
