About the Role

Med Flight Air Ambulance is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Flight Dispatcher. This in-house position plays a critical role in coordinating air medical missions and serving as the communication hub between flight crews, medical teams, and partner agencies.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate and dispatch air ambulance missions
• Communicate with pilots, medical crews, hospitals, and ground agencies
• Prepare flight routes, mileage estimates, and time quotes
• Activate flight crews and coordinate mission logistics
• Arrange ground ambulance transportation
• Track and monitor all active missions (flight following)
• Document mission details accurately in dispatch systems
• Support operational needs within the dispatch center

Qualifications

• Medical background preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
• (1) year in healthcare, EMS, aviation, or related field preferred
• BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
