Air Conditioning Technician

Job Description:

Air Conditioning Technician:

• Provides exceptional service to Customers with professional care.
• Provides timely and accurate work of Customers’ jobs.
• Performs inspections on A/C systems for efficient operations and preventative maintenance.
• Performs annual cleaning of A/C systems.
• Perform maintenance on A/C systems.
• Tests systems for proper functioning and diagnosis for trouble-shooting utilizing a multi meter.
• Diagnoses basic electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions.
• Installs new Air Conditioning systems.
• Maintains supply inventory and equipment ordering.
• Performs calibrations of thermostatic controls and adjustments.
• Repairs or replace various parts and equipment if damaged or needs replacement.
• Performs emergency calls and repairs.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, warehouse, company trucks and vehicles on a regular basis.
• Communicates information to lead tech(s) and foreman to promote efficiency and safety of operations.
• Communicates and collaborates with office and vendors in reporting and recording necessary information on to work orders, required forms, documents, etc. in completing jobs, projects and all tasks.
• Performs and follows proper procedures to comply with and promote health and safety standards.

Job Requirements: (Preferred)

• Customer service oriented - with professionalism.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of A/C installation, maintenance, trouble-shooting experience.
• EPA certification.
• Background check upon hire
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (abstract).
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, variable hours and be placed on an on-call rotation schedule.
• Working mechanical knowledge – including the use of tools and test equipment.
• Knowledge and application of basic math and measurement skills.
• Capable of working in various work places which may include confined spaces, hot or cold spaces, crawl ways, attics, rooftops.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects, bend, stoop, kneel or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Detailed oriented.
• Team player and reliable.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years experience in installations of Ducted and Ductless Split Air Systems, Central Systems and Rooftop Units.
