Air Freight Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Air Freight Manager to join our growing team. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in air freight operations and a passion for delivering efficient, compliant, and customer-focused logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage all air freight operations.
• Ensure all air shipments are executed on time, cost-effectively, and efficiently.
• Guarantee compliance of all operational processes with national and international air freight regulations and company policies.
• Lead, motivate, train, and guide the air operations team.
• Monitor, assess, and continuously improve team performance by setting clear goals and KPIs.
• Optimize operational processes to maximize customer satisfaction and service quality.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, agents, customs authorities, and other logistics partners.
• Provide customers with prompt, efficient, and solution-oriented support.
• Procure thermal blankets and data loggers, and ensure proper labeling for special shipments.
• Expand and manage relationships with domestic transportation, warehousing, and packaging-palletizing suppliers.
• Prepare and manage budgets related to air freight operations, controlling costs and driving profitability.
• Conduct performance analysis and reporting to improve operational efficiency and cost optimization.
• Develop strategies for process improvement, digitalization, and automation in air freight operations.
• Monitor market trends, customer expectations, and industry innovations to contribute to strategic planning.
• Develop new operational processes and service models to support the company’s growth targets.
• Ensure full compliance with legal regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements in all air freight activities.
• Analyze, mitigate, and manage operational risks effectively.
• Regularly track, report, and improve operational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Logistics, International Trade, or a related field).
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role within the logistics or transportation sector.
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
