Job Description:

The Airline Procurement Supervisor establishes and manages working relationships between internal UPS Divisions, at all levels and Procurement as well as with internal shops and external vendors (related to Repair and Purchase of Aircraft Components). They are responsible for managing the Life Cycle of Aircraft Components. Component Life Cycle includes technical analysis, purchase, repair and warranty. This position is key stakeholder working with UPS Sourcing Team on RFP's, contract review and terms as well as working with team reviews to ensure contract terms are being met by the vendor (Pricing and Turn Time). Responsibilities include administration of employee records, training and periodic performance reviews.

Job Description:

Procurement Supervisors manage a product line associated with the UPS Air Fleet and Aircraft Components (PowerPlant, Systems, Avionics, Standards, Structures, Warranty, etc.). Supervisors are responsible for managing the life cycle of components from purchase to repair, building business relationships with internal customers as well and repair vendors. Working with Engineering on projects associated with fleet/components (SB's, AD's, etc.). Works alongside of strategic sourcing on supplier contracts as well as supplier management to oversee the business relationship with UPS, while holding vendors accountable for timely return of assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a product line associated with UPS Air Fleet and Aircraft Components (e.g., PowerPlant, Systems, Avionics, Structures, Warranty).
  • Oversee the full life cycle of aircraft components—from purchase to repair and warranty.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with: Internal UPS divisions and shops, external vendors and repair facilities and Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on fleet/component projects (e.g., Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives).
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing on supplier contracts and RFPs and RFQs.
  • Contract reviews and compliance (pricing, turnaround time).
  • Lead an Asset Management team of administrative and business professionals.
  • Provide direction and leadership in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Analyze and interpret technical and financial data to support decision-making.
  • Conduct cost analysis to validate purchase and repair decisions.
  • Administer employee records, training, and performance reviews.
  • Work closely with Finance and Operations to manage budgets and support operational needs.
  • Interpret Engineering and OEM technical documents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent or pursuing one.
  • Airframe or Power Plant License or equivalent aviation experience - Preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in: Procurement, Aircraft Materials and/or Aircraft Maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of: RFI, RFP, RFQ processes.
  • Commercial contracts and technical documentation (IPC, AMM, MEL).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Professional, self-motivated, and accountable for quality results.
  • Proven leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt.
