The Airport Control Center Agent is an integral part of the Airport’s operations/security team and essential to the efficient day-to-day support of the Airport’s operation/security activity. The Airport Control Center Agent is a multi-functional position that encompasses functional areas (Airport Operations and Airport Security)

Education and Experience:
Mental Demands: Ability to read and comprehend technical and professional journals, manuals, procedures and instructions: maps, layouts, memos, summaries, reports and evaluations. Ability to speak clearly and concisely, read, write, and comprehend English to relay information to other workers and laymen. Ability to perform basic math and arithmetic. Ability to identify and resolve problems. Ability to analyze data and develop conclusions. Ability to comprehend and use radio procedures and designations.
Physical Demands:Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities, and meet the minimum requirements. Visual acuity (peripheral vision, depth perception, color acuity) of 20/30 vision standard in each eye; if corrective lenses must be used to satisfy 20/30 vision standard, uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/100 in each eye to operate motorized and special use vehicles, airfield marking lights, computers, CCTV, and special use identification media. Ability to talk and pass a hearing test with less than or equal to 40 decibels in each ear under the frequencies: 2,000 Hz, 3,000 Hz and 4,000 Hz. Ability to stand, sit, walk and view computer screens/CCTV for prolong periods of time. Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and work up twelve (12) hours shifts. Ability to lift and carry, push, pull, up to 50 pounds unassisted; stand, walk, climb, reach, handle, finger dexterity.
Environmental Demands: Extended periods of inside and outside work. Ability to tolerate periods of inclement weather including high heat and humidity, wind, rain, and cold. May be exposed to chemicals, insects, odors, dust, fumes, noise, and vibration.
