The Landline Company (landlineco.com) is an innovative ground transportation company that connects airline passengers to major airports through premium motorcoach service in partnership with airlines including American Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, and Air Canada.
In June, we are launching service supporting Framingham, MA and Boston Logan International Airport, allowing passengers to check in and transfer luggage seamlessly between our vehicles and partner flights.
The Role:
We’re seeking Airport Escort Drivers (Ramp Drivers) to join our Boston-area team. In this role, you will operate a sedan or pickup truck to escort and support a motor coach traveling between Framingham, MA and and Boston Logan International Airport, including operations within the airport’s Air Operations Area (AOA).
This is a hands-on, safety-critical role that involves driving on the ramp, guiding vehicles, marshaling, and coordinating bus movements within a busy airport environment. The ideal candidate is highly attentive, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced aviation setting.
Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicles within the AOA (Air Operations Area) and airport ramp environment

- Marshal vehicles and assist with positioning at gates and drop-off locations
- Escort buses to designated parking and operational areas
- Pull ahead of the bus when required and guide it to the first drop-off point
- Assist in repositioning vehicles after drop-offs and exiting/re-entering the AOA as needed
- Track incoming bus status as it approaches Boston
- Upon arrival, receive and review required documentation
- Physically inspect the bus by checking seal numbers against documentation
- Ensure all seals match, discrepancies are critical and must be escalated immediately
- Provide verification (e.g., thumbs-up confirmation) before proceeding
- Escort the bus through the AOA gate and remain with it through initial operations
- Guide passengers safely during drop-offs (typically two staff per vehicle)
- Assist with directing passengers to designated locations
- Support multi-stop drop-off coordination and reposition between locations
- Maintain a visible safety presence throughout passenger movement
- Assist with unloading luggage from the motor coach when needed
- Prepare bags for airline handling (e.g., staging for airline agents such as Delta or JetBlue)
- Follow proper safety lifting techniques at all times
Qualifications:

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Experience driving in urban and highway environments preferred
- Ability to maintain focus and situational awareness during extended driving periods
- Ability to communicate clearly with drivers and operations staff
- Ability to pass a preemployment DOT drug test including marijuana and to participate in random drug and alcohol testing (this is a USDOT safety-sensitive position)
- Ability to pass a preemployment criminal background check to obtain a badge to access secure airport locations
- Ability to work at approximately 3:30 AM Sunday to Saturday, including holidays.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and company protocols
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor
