The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Airport Senior EVS Attendant position. This senior-level working role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at the Department of Aviation (DOA). The incumbent performs a full range of environmental services (EVS) duties while providing on-shift support to Airport EVS Attendants. This position is utilized throughout DOA including at our General Aviation airports.
This position creates a welcoming environment for guests by ensuring that the airport and common areas are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained to produce the highest quality of cleanliness in all areas. Key responsibilities include assisting with the coordination of daily work activities, providing guidance on established procedures, supporting training efforts, and participating in routine quality inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met. The position also performs specialized cleaning tasks such as carpet care and floor maintenance, operates heavy duty or specialized cleaning equipment, drives on the airfield as required, communicates via two-way radio, and assists guests with general information or needs.
The Airport Senior EVS Attendant works with a high degree of independence within assigned areas and regularly interacts with the public while collaborating with other airport staff to support airport operations and deliver a positive guest experience.
This recruitment may be used to fill positions Harry Reid International Airport as well as at North Las Vegas Airport (2730 Airport Drive, North Las Vegas, NV 89032) and/or Henderson Executive Airport (3500 Executive Terminal Drive, Henderson, NV 89052).

Education and Experience:
Two (2) years of full-time experience in EVS, custodial work or housekeeping services, which includes at least one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience. Two (2) years of full-time experience as an Airport EVS Attendant may be considered for the required one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience.
All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the “Education” and “Work Experience” sections of the application.

Working Conditions: Work extended shifts or be called back in emergency situations. Work evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts, depending upon the department to which assigned. May be exposed to body fluids and other hazardous substances.
Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Class C, Nevada Driver's License at time of appointment. Must pass the airport's Badging Security Class with a ramp designation upon initial appointment and complete a Clark County Defensive Driving Class during probationary/qualifying period.
Medical Examination: Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
Residency Requirement: Permanent employees must maintain a principal place of residency within the boundaries of Clark County and provide proof of compliance with Nevada motor vehicle registration and drivers' license laws within 90 days of employment.
Citizenship: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
