Airport Shuttle Driver

The purpose of this job is to safely transport airport customers and employees between parking lots and the airport terminal while delivering a high level of customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description
  • Operates shuttles to transport passengers in varying weather conditions.


  • Follows designated routes, schedules, and instructions to ensure timely services.

  • Provides customer service by greeting passengers and answering questions.

  • Assists passengers with loading and unloading luggage.

  • Conducts pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; reports maintenance or safety issues promptly.

  • Maintains compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and airport policies.

  • Maintains a clean vehicle.

  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Job has no responsibility for the direction or supervision of others.

Education and Experience - An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.


  • 1 year of driving experience; experience transporting passengers is preferred.

Licenses or Certifications
  • Valid Class E Chauffeur license.

  • Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification.

  • Traffic laws, safety regulations, and defensive driving practices.

  • Safely operating a vehicle carrying passengers.

  • Learn routes, schedules, and basic flight information.

  • Handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

  • Assist with the boarding/deboarding of passengers and luggage.

  • Recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems

  • Work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.

  • This position involves occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards, as well as outdoor work.


  • Incumbents may be required to exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly, having to move objects.

  • Incumbents required to grasp, push, stand, walk, drive, reach with hands/arms, and stoop.

Hours/Days
Seven days a week service between the hours of 4:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Shifts will vary depending on airline schedules.

$15.53 hourly
