GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is a state organization dedicated to partnering with communities to help create a climate of success for Georgia's families and businesses. The Office of Housing Finance (OHF) allocates tax credits to fund a wide range of affordable housing activities including building, buying, and/or rehabilitating affordable housing for rent.
OVERVIEW OF JOB:
The Allocation Analyst will primarily be responsible for supporting the administration of the annual competitive application and threshold application cycles for the 4% and 9% Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs. This position reports to the Allocation Manager. Allocation Team responsibilities include planning and preparation, intake and evaluation of competitive applications and threshold applications, policy implementation, and funding cycle analysis. The team’s goal is to administer the LIHTC program efficiently and protect the integrity of the program through timely review. The Allocation Team is also involved in policy evaluation and development, external partner education and engagement, and assistance with special projects within the Housing Finance and Development Division.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of job-related experience or completion of an apprenticeship/internship that sufficiently supplied experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position
OR
Any other combination of education and professional experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the job.
WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)
This position is currently designated as a hybrid (part in-office and part remote/Telework) position. This position is full-time (40 hours per week) and may require occasional overtime. Local periodic travel may be required and occasional national travel.
PHYSICAL / SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Work is principally stationary, but the person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Must be able to perform office-related duties.
Must be able to operate office equipment.
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, tenants, and community agencies and other entities that provide services.
Must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to perform essential job functions in an environment that will sometimes include increased levels of work-related stress.
Must maintain punctuality and attendance as scheduled.
