We are seeking a Resource Allocation Officer / Project Coordinator to join our team and help us optimize our resources across various projects and teams. You will be supporting the process of planning resources capacity and tracking workload and utilization. You will also work closely with the Resource Allocation Manager and Project Managers as well as Team Leads to provide support and guidance on resource allocation issues and processes. To be successful in this role, you should have strong business acumen, effective communication, excellent analytical and organizational skills as well as a solid understanding of project management principles and tools. Prior experience in resource allocation or project coordination in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Report on employees’ workload and utilization.
- Track day-to-day project activities and update corresponding reporting.
- Maintain tools we use to track capacity, workload and utilization and update when required.
- Document processes and generate reports on resource allocation metrics.
- Design and produce high-quality presentations using PowerPoint.
- Provide Resource Allocation Manager with support and Project Managers with advice/updates on resource planning and allocation issues.
- Liaise with MBC Group teams e.g. HR, Finance to support project and resource reporting. - Maintain successful relationships with employees across teams as well as management by demonstrating effective communication with all levels in the organization.
- Offer onboarding training for new joiners to be able to utilize our resource planning tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong business acumen and ability to grasp the business quickly.
- Advanced skills in data reporting (Excel, Power BI).
- Proven record of producing high level PowerPoint presentations and documentation.
- Familiarity with project management principles and tools e.g. Jira.
- Familiarity with resource planning / scheduling tools e.g. Tempo.
- Excellent interpersonal, and effective communication (Arabic and English) with employees from all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proven experience in resource allocation or a similar role is preferred
