Design & Estimation Engineer - Aluminum & Glass

Must have exposure in Aluminum Curtain Wall Stick Systems, Unitized Systems, Doors & Windows, Sliding Systems, ACP Cladding Works, Louvers & Partition.

Must be familiar with minimum 3 Systems such as Gutmann, Schuco, Technal & thorough knowledge of local extrusion profiles.

Job Responsibilities:

Review the customer drawing and enlist the required BOQ of items as per system required.

Conduct initial structural study to ascertain the system selection for wind loads & other criterias.

Prepare the costing from the price list.

Analyze different suppliers to obtain best cost-effective solutions.

Prepare Design drawings & fabrication drawings for approvals.

Prepare Pre-Qualification Submittal, Detailed Design Drawing Submittals, Prepare Materials Submittals & follow up with client for approvals.

Reply to customer comments and revise drawings submittal accordingly.

Follow up for design submittal approval.

Release purchase request for materials with BOQ for all materials.

Prepare structural study reports and ensure documents are submitted & approved by client/consultant.

Provide approved fabrication drawings & design and other inputs to the Production.

Coordination, planning, scoping, estimation and tracking.

Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely, meeting customer delivery expectations.

Work extended hours as per job requirements.

Qualification:
BE/Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering/ Equivalent.
Experience Required:
3 to 4 Years for BE; 6 to 8 Years for Diploma Candidate.

Should have experience in this field. Should have proven abilities to work as team player. Should have knowledge of interfaces with other engineering disciplines in carrying out project work for providing /receiving/ reviewing the deliverables at various stages of project.

Ability to meet challenging deadlines in an efficient and profitable manner.

Basic computer knowledge - MS Outlook email and MS Excel.

Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Must have working experience of 3 to 5 years as Design Engineer in GCC region.

Must have knowledge about multiple Aluminum & Glass manufacturers such as Gulf Extrusions, AREXCO, Gutmann, Schuco, Technal & Saint Gobain, Emirates Glass, Guardian Etc.

Should have experience with structural studies and calculation.

Skills Required: Communication, MS Office, AutoCAD, SketchUp 3D Modelling Etc
