Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Building: Developing relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and residents to support organizational goals.
- Event Planning: Planning and coordinating workshops, community meetings, and volunteer activities.
- Outreach & Engagement: Representing the organization in the community to increase visibility and participation.
- Communication: Creating, managing, and promoting campaigns through social media and local channels.
- Advocacy & Support: Supporting local community members in articulating views and participating in local decision-making.
- Project Management: Implementing projects, tracking performance metrics, and reporting on engagement success.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Communication: Exceptional oral and written skills for presentations and reports.
- Relationship Management: Proven experience in networking and building trust-based partnerships.
- Organization: Strong project management abilities to organize campaigns and manage multiple projects.
- Cultural Competence: Ability to engage with diverse populations and commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Digital Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Common Qualifications
- Experience in non-profit, outreach, or community-based roles.
- Background in social work, marketing, or community development is often preferred.
