Position Summary:
At PopSockets, we are seeking a commercially minded and detail-oriented Analytics Lead to drive insights and enable action for our global Amazon business. This individual will play a critical role in surfacing performance signals, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending strategies that are rooted in robust data analysis.
The ideal candidate has years of experience in the Amazon ecosystem, is a self-starter and deeply passionate about data. This role serves as a catalyst for decision-making, converting performance signals into strategic recommendations across sales initiatives, in-stock, advertising, promotions, assortment, site content, and metadata. It requires a balance of business acumen, technical skills, and proactive problem-solving.

Conduct daily performance analysis across products to spot drops or anomalies, surface risks, and help operational teams course-correct quickly.

Drive weekly sales reporting across marketplaces including global Amazon accounts and Walmart Marketplaces

Prepare and present monthly full business review, including a comprehensive steering report with strategic insights and recommendations for key stakeholders.

Serve as the primary steward of Amazon sell-through data sets, partnering with the BI team to enhance data access, structure, and usability.

Develop a view of category share and landscape using Amazon search trends to help drive market share growth

Partner with team lead to plan and analyze pricing, promotions and HVEs

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

Keep a pulse on category, channel, and competitive trends to contextualize performance and flag emerging opportunities or threats.

5 –8 years of experience in analytics, strategy, consulting, eCommerce, or marketplace operations

Must have hands-on experience working with Amazon Vendor or Seller Central

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics or related field

Expert on Amazon 1P vs 3P dynamics, Buy-Box mechanics, grey-market risks

Advanced proficiency in Excel

Demonstrated ability to synthesize data into insights and present them clearly to diverse audiences

Comfort navigating ambiguity and working cross-functionally

Experience working with large, complex data sets; SQL or Python are a plus

Experience with Power BI and Snowflake is a plus
