Ambulatory Regulatory Technician – Full‑Time, Hybrid Day Shift

Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) – Philadelphia, PA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, full‑time day shift (Hybrid: 2 days remote, 3 days onsite)

About the Ambulatory Regulatory Team

The Ambulatory Regulatory Technician supports pharmacy compliance across multiple outpatient locations by coordinating payer audits, ensuring accuracy in documentation, and helping maintain adherence to federal, state, and internal auditing standards. The role directly contributes to strengthening operational integrity and financial performance across more than six pharmacy locations in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.

What You’ll Do

  • Support internal and external pharmacy payer audits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
  • Assist outpatient pharmacy managers with regulatory monitoring and reporting.
  • Perform proactive audits of insurance claims and regulatory requirements.
  • Compile and prepare information for electronic, faxed, and onsite audits.
  • Communicate audit findings and collaborate with pharmacy management to address issues efficiently.
  • Support continuous process improvement across multiple outpatient pharmacy locations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification - CPhT (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in business, accounting, or finance (preferred)
  • Inventory and audit experience (preferred)
  • At least 3 years of pharmacy technician experience (retail experience is a plus).
