AMI Smart Gas Meter Installation Technician - ADNOC Project

Role Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and reliable Meter Installation Technician to support the ADNOC City Gas AMI Smart Gas Metering Project. The role involves installation, testing and commissioning of smart gas meters at residential, commercial and industrial premises in compliance with ADNOC and ACG safety standards. This is a 3-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on project performance and requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Install and replace AMI smart gas meters as per approved procedures and standards.
• Carry out site verification, pressure testing and ensure proper meter functionality.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of communication and technical issues in meters.
• Accurately record meter serial numbers, customer details and installation data.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
• Coordinate daily tasks with supervisors, engineers and field teams.
• Support quality inspections and provide necessary installation documentation.
• Report any abnormalities, leaks, or safety concerns to the Technical Installation engineer.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma / ITI/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent trade).
• 2–5 years of experience in gas meter installation or gas distribution network projects (preferably ADNOC or UAE-based).
• Basic understanding of AMI smart gas metering systems and natural gas safety procedures.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and installation guidelines.
• Good communication, teamwork and reporting skills.
• UAE Driving License preferred.

Contract Terms:

• Duration: 3 Months (Extendable based on performance and project requirements)
• Work Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
• Working Hours: As per ADNOC City Gas site schedule
