AML Compliance Officer

Location: Sharjah, UAE

Nojoom Al Jazeera is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented AML Compliance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure that our business operations adhere to all UAE federal laws regarding Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF).

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with the UAE Central Bank and Ministry of Economy regulations.
• System Management: Handle and report suspicious transactions via the goAML portal.
• KYC Procedures: Implement and oversee "Know Your Customer" (KYC) and Due Diligence processes for high-value transactions.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential financial risks related to used car trading.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized documentation for internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Compliance or AML role within the UAE (Experience in the automotive or financial sector is a plus).
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using the goAML platform and Ministry of Economy portals.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of DNFBP (Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions) regulations.
• Languages: Excellent command of English (Written & Spoken). Proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree, Law, Finance, or any related field. (CAMS certification is a significant advantage).
