Ammonia & Boiler Associate Technician

We are seeking a skilled Ammonia & Boiler Associate Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ammonia refrigeration systems and boilers to ensure efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Ammonia Refrigeration System:

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ammonia-based refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor refrigeration system parameters and respond to alarms promptly.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on refrigeration equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to ammonia handling and storage.

Boiler Operations & Maintenance:

• Operate and maintain steam boilers, hot water systems, and associated equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections and log operational parameters such as pressure, temperature, and water levels.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and assist in major repairs when required.
• Ensure boiler safety systems are functional and meet regulatory standards.

General Maintenance & Compliance:

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports as needed.
• Follow company SOPs and safety guidelines for ammonia and boiler operations.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to improve system efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and system upgrades.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration Engineering.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration and boiler operations in a manufacturing or food & beverage industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems (preferably ammonia-based).
• Understanding of boiler operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations for ammonia and boiler systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Certifications (Preferred): Ammonia Handling Certification / Boiler Operator Certification.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and attention to detail.
