Ammonia Refrigeration Maintenance Technician- Nights

Shift: Nights M-F 3pm-11:30pm

Join our team and play a critical role in keeping our facilities running safely and efficiently! You'll be hands-on with mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration equipment to ensure smooth operations across the facility.

What You'll Do:

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and facility structures following leadership instructions and company safety standards.

• Perform physical inspections, calibration, preventative maintenance, and repairs on all mechanical and electrical assets impacting facility operations and grounds.

• Inspect and perform repairs on refrigeration systems, with a strong focus on ammonia, Freon, and CO2 systems.

• Maintain and repair material handling equipment per manufacturer and company guidelines to ensure safe and reliable operation.

• Keep accurate records of inspections, evaluations, and preventive maintenance procedures, and communicate key updates to leadership daily.

• Operate power tools, cutting torches, welding equipment, motorized lifts, and rental equipment as needed.

• Take on other tasks as assigned to support facility operations.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 1 year of experience (or a combination of experience and trade school) in building maintenance, material handling equipment, or refrigeration maintenance, with hands-on ammonia refrigeration experience strongly preferred.

• Ability to complete preventative maintenance with guidance and minimal supervision.

• Proficient with hand and power tools, including cutting and welding equipment.

• Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities across all levels of the facility.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.

• Comfortable working in temperatures ranging from -20°F/-25°C in cold storage to 100°F/37°C in dry storage, wearing PPE and freezer gear.

• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs./23 kgs. (weight may vary by facility).

• Flexible with work schedules and shifts, including weekends as needed.

• Comfortable with varying noise levels and working at heights in some locations.

Pay Range:$19.52 - $32.93
