Analyst – CIB Coverage (Bahrain National Only)

We are seeking an ambitious Bahraini national to work as part of the Bahrain CIB Coverage team to as Analyst supporting Relationship managers in the IC, GC and IMM segments.


The Role:

In this role you will proactively support Relationship Managers enabling them to deliver best in class service to existing and prospective customers. In this role you will provide extensive support and is accountable for the end-to-end credit application process including, preparation of credit applications based on thorough analysis of the financial reports, research and other data sources / market intelligence, supporting RMs on credit related operations, facilitating timely execution of facility offer letters and draw downs, perfection of securities, liaising with onshore/offshore credit support teams, ensuring covenant and credit approval conditions compliance etc.


Furthermore, requires providing extensive support and is accountable for pipeline, sales activity and customer service management for the designated portfolio of customers ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction in terms of day-to-day operational support acting as a catalyst for delivery of expected contribution towards Annual Operating Plan and improved client engagement scores.


Key Accountabilities:


  • You will be responsible for execution of controls for effective risk management from a legal, compliance, operational and reputational perspectives.
  • Be involved active engagement with all product partners, any relevant periodic / ad hoc reporting and project activity.
  • To actively participate in client planning and strategic business reviews to ensure that we fully understand the customers’ needs/plans and accordingly align our solutions to meet those.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers on varied set of activities in essence maximizing the client facing time for Relationship Managers.
  • Specific set of activities include, preparation of call reports, research and industry analysis, account conduct reviews, client interaction on operational matters, complaints resolution, coordination with product partners, periodic and ad hoc reporting and project specific support, etc.


In order to apply for this role, you will have the following:


  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in the Financial Services sector, preferably with commercial banks with detailed knowledge of commercial banking products.
  • Understanding of credit approval processes and KYC for corporate clients is essential.
  • Knowledge of the Bahrain business environment would be desirable.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to work with different business and support teams in a high performance environment.
  • Customer driven with a proactive approach, strong sales, marketing orientation and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Good prioritizing, organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Professionally ambitious individual with strong work ethics.
