Position: Analyst- Credit Analysis
Group: Private Banking & Wealth Management
Primary Job Purpose
The Analyst is responsible for investigating and analysing credit data and financial statements to determine degree of risk pertaining to the extension of credit.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Operations, Review and Reporting
Understanding

Maintain updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the concerned field and related matters of interest to the department
Fieldwork
-
Compile data from credit history and financial statements
-
Analyse Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and other financial data such as income growth, quality of management, market share

Confer with Credit representatives to exchange credit information
-
Evaluates data and recommends payment plan to the credit representatives
-
Perform spreading and credit analysis within a maximum period of 2 working days

Assist the Private Banking unit in preparation of DRs and Credit Proposals

Assist Relationship Managers during their meetings with clients, when and as required

Evaluate, recommend and implement approved changes in methods, processes, and procedures to improve customer service and sustain business objectives
Review and Monitoring

Monitor credit developments and recommend corrective actions

Ensure compliance with banking rules and regulations and promote risk awareness
Reporting

Generate and escalate periodic and ad hoc reports while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Stakeholder Management
Internal Interactions

Participate in the various cross-functional committees/teams for multiple purposes to achieve optimal cooperation and to assume seamless quality service

ducational Qualification(s)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field
Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience.
Certification(s)

Certificate in Credit Management (CCM) or equivalent
Language(s) known
