Job Summary:


  • This position is part of the Content Strategy team within Norstella Content Operations.
  • In this role, the Analyst will be working closely with members of the Ontology team and the wider Content Strategy team to support the delivery of content roadmaps and other business requirements, including ad hoc projects commissioned by customers. This will include support on mapping Norstella data to other third-party standards and to other datasets in line with best practice and appropriate in-house standards.
  • The Analyst role is critical in the strategic direction of transformational programs and projects to address key business priorities in collaboration with cross-functional business units (technology, product, services etc.) focusing on:
  • Optimization - Champion operational efficiency
  • Utilization - Maximize data utility and unlock opportunities to leverage Norstella data across the business to drive value
  • Thought Partnership - Spearhead data strategy and client engagement

Responsibilities:


Serve as a contributor to project delivery, responsible for completing assigned tasks and contributing to the planning of workstreams.

  • Support the translation of data-driven concepts into business-digestible ROI aligning with enterprise-wide priorities

Contribute to the enhancement of content datasets and capability expansion

  • Data extraction
  • Execution of feasible, innovative, and scalable enhancements and solutions, including AI-driven ones
  • Delivery of representative testing strategies at incubator stage as part of Content validation


Contribute to the delivery of the following Transformation streams within Content Ops:

  • Data strategy (e.g., content optimization, data governance, reconciliation of data across disparate datasets, AI enablement)
  • Operational (e.g., institutionalization of technological change, setting best practices for Content Ops, process engineering, aligning operational excellence with commercial needs of Norstella)
  • Organizational (e.g., defining target operating model & upstream institutional structure, aligning talent utilization with commercial needs of Norstella)


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Mapping healthcare related data elements to standard terminologies
  • Mapping and aligning internal datasets with external datasets, eg those from third-party suppliers or customers.
  • Reviewing dictionary updates and implementing appropriate revisions to mapping
  • Creating and maintaining data mapping documentation
  • Conducting data discovery and working with other team members on data models where needed.
  • Explaining the context of mappings and alignment work to colleagues
  • Working closely with colleagues in product, content and data engineering on query resolution and standards development.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferentially in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, or equivalent field
  • 3+ years’ experience preferably in a biopharma intelligence, business research, life sciences consulting domain
  • Understanding of how life science data is published, captured and processed to translate real-world events into structured content
  • Understanding of drug development lifecycle and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Sharepoint, Excel and PowerPoint, Monday.com, LucidChart, Jira, Confluence
  • Impeccable or native English verbal and written communication.
  • Experience analysing, aggregating, and structuring clinical or medical data.
  • Good understanding of clinical processes and vocabulary.
  • Previous experience of data mapping and alignment projects.

Preferred Experience:


  • Knowledge of health information systems including EMR, and claims processing.
  • Knowledge of relational database systems.
  • Prior experience of working with and/or applying taxonomies.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
