Job Description

We’re one of the world’s largest providers of transportation and logistics services. Our customers range from small and mid-sized companies up to global enterprises. Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit provides comprehensive logistics services and warehousing solutions utilizing a global network of distribution centers, innovative technology and supply chain expertise to manage the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment.

Job Summary

The Entry-Level 3PL Analyst will support UPS-managed logistics operations on-site, with a primary focus on employee training, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is designed for individuals pursuing a leadership path in supply chain operations, offering hands-on experience in developing workforce training programs, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving process improvements in a high-performance warehouse environment. This role also plays a key part in managing the delivery and deployment of contracted services to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met or exceeded. The Analyst will collaborate closely with internal teams, the customer, hourly associates, and management to support overall business services. Additionally, the role involves identifying and recommending opportunities to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and operational capabilities of the site, contributing directly to performance excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

  • Support onboarding of new logistics and warehouse employees
  • Maintain and update training documentation, records, and compliance certifications
  • Assist in developing and delivering SOPs, job aids, and training materials
  • Coordinate cross-training efforts to build workforce versatility and resilience

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and enforce regulatory and internal safety standards and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety walks, audits, and risk assessments within the facility
  • Support incident investigations and assist in root cause analysis and reporting
  • Deliver toolbox talks and facilitate regular safety meetings with frontline employees

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and document process inefficiencies or safety risks in daily operations
  • Support and participate in 3P events, 5S implementations, and lean projects
  • Collaborate with UPS and internal customer to implement best practices

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate with hourly associates and management
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a logistics, warehouse, training, or safety-related role
  • Familiarity with regulations and auditing practices
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools and methodologies

Working Hours: 2nd shift Mon-Fri 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM. Overtime and shift work required as needed.
