Provides ongoing financial analyst support and accountability to the Lake Cumberland Market. Supports the AVP, Medical Group Services, Lake Cumberland with contract pre-approval, Fair Market Value analysis, contract management, budget preparation, MOR commentary and financial analysis within the Lake Cumberland market.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
X Associates degree: Preferred; or this may be substituted by five years of directly related experience.
X Bachelors degree: Preferred; in Finance or Accounting

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, the size of judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Advanced skills and using XL are required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills to affectively conveyed id is in a clear, positive manner that is consistent with admission, patient, values of the organization.

High degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making and being able to analyze situations accurately intake objective action.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with wide range of people including senior leadership, employees, providers, and other practice manager.

Ability to analyze, interpret and respond to financial and operation report.

Skill in organizing, to allegations and assuring that she went to go see personal and delegated work.

Ability to implement change, manage complex, and assure quality operations. Ability to prior reports.


Valid driver's license and vehicle for use on the job.


Ability to travel.

Minimum work experience


Significant working knowledge of computers, Topamax, copy and fax machines.


Previous work experience with all the various pair types including self-pay, commercial insurance, worker's compensation, Medicare and Medicaid.
Ability to work and occasional Saturday.
3-5 years of financial reporting experience within a large physician practice setting

Essential functions
Maintains financial accounting for Lake Cumberland Medical Group Services including the coding AP, reporting appropriate applications at Department level and providing appropriate reporting.


Develops analytical/departmental reports as required or requested, including but not limited to, regional operating financial reports, back to budget, and growth plans, statistical, productivity standard, quality in requirements, patient's satisfaction, etc.


Serves as an interdepartmental liaison and technical resource person for revenue cycle and provider level accounting.

Works with internal and external auditors to prepare for and facilitate audits.
Provide support to physicians including clinic start up, malpractice applications, MU registrations and completion of the PAD, system updates, new processes, etc.
Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect profitability, growth and productivity.
Supports the AVP to assist with pre-approval of new employment agreements, recruitment agreements and contract amendments.
Prepares FMV analysis to support the prospective contract type.
Develops and recommends department operating budget and assures that department operates within budget.
Completes month end close to include processing and allocations, Bonus Accruals, and MOR workbooks.
Prepares the final term sheet and justification analysis for various contracts.
