The Business Analyst I will be a key member of the Corporate Strategy Analytics team in Hyderabad. It requires strong modeling and analytical skills to build capabilities to improve decision speed and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years in pharmaceutical strategy/valuation or commercial analytics, can build Excel-based models from scratch, and is fluent with industry datasets such as Evaluate Pharma, IQVIA, Pharmaprojects, BioMedTracker, Clarivate/DRG, Capital IQ, and AlphaSense.

Experience:
  • We welcome people with a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as Biology/Biotechnology, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline. MBA a plus.
  • Proven experience (typically 1 - 3 years) in a consulting, corporate/biopharma strategy, forecasting or commercial analytics role, preferably within the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Hands-on expertise in pharmaceutical forecasting and commercial analytics, modeling platforms, Advanced Excel & VBA, data manipulation software and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Python, SQL, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience with data analysis and modeling platforms; able to manipulate large datasets and build reusable templates/dashboards.
  • Familiarity with key industry data sources (e.g. Evaluate Pharma, Visible Alpha, IQVIA, Pharmaprojects, BioMedTracker, Clarivate/DRG, Capital IQ, and AlphaSense)
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the corporate strategy team to collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to support strategic decision-making and translate insights into clear narratives that inform strategy.
  • Individual will apply financial analysis and analysis of key pharma databases to drive high- quality insights
  • Translate complex data and analytics into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BD and portfolio Analytics ) to ensure accuracy and consistency in data reporting for senior management presentations
  • Proactively and continuously assesses the relevant marketplace and its dynamics, customers, competitors and future development trends
  • Identify needed data sets and implement a plan to make data usable for analytics supporting decision making
  • Build new capabilities to automate data gathering and reporting that support key senior leadership forums (BoD etc.)
  • Prepare presentations and briefings that distill complex analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Improve data pipelines and apply advanced analytics where they add clear decision value.
Skills and competencies:
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking; comfortable structuring ambiguous problems.
  • High attention to detail and data quality; able to work with large datasets and ensure accuracy and reproducibility.
  • Clear, concise communicator able to translate complex analysis for non-technical stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Experience with analytics and presentation tools (Excel and PowerPoint; SQL/Python and BI tools are a plus)
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
