Role description

As an Analyst, you will be auditing independence disclosures as per PCAOB and SEC standards of managers and above, located in United States and Bangalore office. This control is a requirement by regulatory bodies to prevent, detect and mitigate risk thereby strengthen the firm’s culture of compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the Grant Thornton audit approach, firm policies and tools.
  • Execute or assist in executing components of audit under remote service delivery model in an effective and efficient manner by keeping open line of communication.
  • Perform tasks using internal tools based on deadlines, written and verbal instructions in place.
  • Perform initial review of submissions and evaluate completeness, accuracy and appropriateness of the requests.
  • Comprehend and act upon responses received.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions.
  • Be open to learning and adapt to regular updates.
  • Be cross-trained to assist with family tree research (as needed) or other independence functions at the INDUS

Skills

Bachelor/Post Graduation degree along with –

Possess good internet research skills.

Knowledge of financial instruments and terminologies is added advantage.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Must be able to communicate with contacts from around the globe and multi-task various projects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balances judgment.

Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.

Ability to work under short deadlines and prioritize workload.

Dedication to meet deadlines.

Ability to work off-hours, if needed including some holidays

Computer proficient. Must have intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
