The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location:
Boston, MA: $75,680 – $96,400
Orange, CT: $72,400– $90,500
Job Summary
The Analyst – IT Financial role is responsible for preparing IT budgets and monthly financial variance reports in accordance with global and corporate accounting policy. This role is also responsible for monitoring the general ledger and monthly journal entry work. Under general direction, assists in the development and review of financial evaluations of significant IT projects.
The Analyst – IT Financials reports into the Sr. Manager, IT Financial VMO & Projects.
Responsibilities:
Creates monthly CAPEX reporting (SAP/ITNow (PPM).
Maintains SAP WBS / AO budgets.
Ability to modernize financial reporting mechanisms using current technologies, i.e., Power BI.
Maintains PPM CAPEX projects, including performing associated financial tasks.
Analyzes the IT budget, including tracking monthly variances and preparing reports for Avangrid and Global IT.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (i.e. budget analysis, financial accounting analysis, management/cost accounting analysis, and budget and financial planning). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Highly proficient skills using Microsoft Office Products (particularly Excel).
Able to interact effectively with all levels of management, up to and including VPs.
Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles and challenges in a time-sensitive environment.
Skills / Abilities:
Strong analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High sense of urgency and ability to identify creative solutions to time sensitive problems.
