Analyst, Paediatrics & Child Health -MC - (260000S1)
Introduction:
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

Responsibilities:
You will be expected to:

Provide first- and second-level IT support to end users across research sites.

Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

Manage and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux) and Microsoft Office applications.

Configure and administer user accounts, VLAN/WLAN, and peripheral devices.

Maintain IT asset inventory, software licenses, and documentation.

Support setup of equipment for meetings, workshops, and research activities.

Coordinate with AKU ICT and other departments to ensure compliance with institutional policies.

Ensure timely response to support requests and report critical issues affecting operations.

Travel to field or offsite locations as required.
Requirements:
You should have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.

3–4 years of relevant IT support experience.

Strong troubleshooting abilities with experience in multi‑OS environments.

Knowledge of networks (VLAN/WLAN), user administration, and peripheral device management.

Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
-
Ability to work independently and manage workloads under pressure.

Fluency in English and Urdu (written and verbal).
-
Willingness to travel to field sites as needed.
